I leave Paris tomorrow at noon, so I decided to put my “lovelock” on the Pont Des Art.
If you don’t know the story about “Love Locks”, it’s a popular thing that people do around the world on bridges. Usually it’s couples who put a “love lock” on a bridge, but I’ve seen family members or best friends do it too. You just walk the bridge with that special person, declare your love for each other and lock the lock on the bridge. Then if your lock has a key, you throw the key in the water. Now your love is “locked” forever. However; I’ve seen some locks broken off…my guess is that those relationships went bad hahah. That’s why it’s just smart to get a combination lock instead :) haha. But pretty cool idea right?
Anyway, since I walked the bridge alone, I locked my love with the city of Paris. And whoever finds my lock and carves their name on it, then I’ll love you forever…or I can just remove the lock since I know the combination haha. I know it sounds corny…but I thought it would give me another reason to go to Paris and see if my lovelock is still there. And maybe the next time I go…I won’t be alone…I hope haha. Paris…until we meet again.
