[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

This is me watching the sunset on the Eiffel Tower. That tiny orange dot that you see in the video is the sun.

Paris is such a beautiful city…its exactly like what you see in the movies. It really is a romantic city with so many things to do and places to go. I’ve seen so many couples PDAing everywhere that it made me sick and wanted to throw rocks at them..then I started to feel bitter and lonely haha. But geez, Frenchies cannot get their hands off each other. On my train ride to Dusseldorf, this French couple ate each others faces every five minutes. Totally made me uncomfortable, so I took a nap on the train haha.

Anyway, a week in Paris gave me time to do all the tourist stuff. Ive seen pretty much everything except Moulin Rouge. Seeing the Eiffel Tower the first time and watching the sunset made me emotional. It made me think about how far I’ve came to finally accomplish my goals…and it feels pretty damn good. People say I’m crazy for doing this alone…but the way I see it is that you should let nothing hold you back especially your fears. So my word advice to everyone is if you want to do something, then do it now because you’re never going to do it if you keep saying you will.

Paris is a big city and I’m glad I spent most of my time here. Here’s a few things I learned in Paris:

1. America gave France a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty. It sits on the Pont Grenelle. Pont =bridge.

2. Mona Lisa IS pretty small in real life. But it’s pretty cool that I saw this masterpiece that was made centuries ago!

3. The Palace of Versailles is 8 miles long. Took 6 hours to go through the entire palace including Marie Antoinette’s chateau.

4. The Louvre is France’s oldest museum and carries the oldest collections of art and sculptures.

5. Cafes play a huge part in Paris. Lunches are meant to be light, usually a salad and a drink. Then you have dinner around 7. And then later in the evening you’re out for drinks. Paris really never sleeps.

6. French people sunbathe in their bathing suits in parks. It’s more of a European thing though, especially in southern Europe. When I was walking through Jardin de Luxembourg, I saw an old man in his boxers and girls laying in the grass in their bathing suits.

7. Everything is expensive in Paris. Water = 2-3 euros. You even have to pay to use the public toilets. This goes for throughout all Europe, but I managed to find free public toilets in all the cities I’ve been in except Paris.

8. You cannot drink in public in Paris, but people still do so and the police doesn’t give a shit. I’ve drank beer next to the Sacre Coeur and drank a bottle of wine in front of the Eiffel Tower. Cops have passed by and they don’t do anything. If they arrest me or give me a fine, then they’ll have to do that to everyone around me.
